LIVE... from Atlanta... it's SATURDAY NIGHT! Those wild and crazy guys at the Atlanta Yacht Club invite you to be their special guest at the SNL Dixie. You'll look maaavelous sailing across the waters of Lake Allatoona, which we've scripted to be smooth -- just like butta (but you know with live TV, anything can happen!) As always, there will be plenty of boats, plenty of food and plenty of fun. Now, isn't that special?

Racing Rules

Races will be governed by the Rules as defined by The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), the prescriptions of the Thistle Class Association (TCA) and the Sailing Instructions (SI's).

Participation is open to registered Thistle Class yachts and dues-paid members. R&D cards are required. A $5.00 fee will be required of all non-USSA members. Entry may be completed by properly filling out the registration form and paying all fees.

The low-point scoring system as described by Appendix A of the RRS will be used; three races are scheduled; all races will be scored, and one race constitutes a regatta. Ties will be broken by RRS rules except as modified by the Sailing Instructions.

Course diagrams will be provided by the Sailing Instructions, which will be available at the registration table. The Junior event is open to any skipper who has not reached his or her 18th birthday. Crews may be any age. There is no registration fee required for the Junior event.

Trophies will be awarded to the top five finishers of the Dixie Regatta and to the top three finishers of the Junior Regatta.

Saturday, May 24
8:00 - 9:00 am		Junior registration at the point.
9:00 am - noon		Registration at the clubhouse.
9:00 am		Junior competitors' meeting at the Committee barge. Junior gather gun to follow.
		Gather Gun To Follow Junior Race Warning Signal. 2nd and 3rd races to follow.
9:30 - 11:30 am		Brunch at the clubhouse
12:00 noon		Competitors meeting at the point
1:00 pm		Gather gun Spectator boat passengers meet at the point. (BYO life jackets)
1:25 pm		1st race warning signal 2nd race to follow.
6:00 pm		Not Ready for Prime Time Players dinner (kids dinner)
6:30 pm		Cast Party & Cocktails - Buzz with the Killer Bees, the Church Lady, Coneheads and more - Costumes Encouraged
7:30 pm		Pre-show dinner
8:30 pm		Musical guest introduced
Sunday, May 25
7:30 am		Coffee Talk (and munchies)
9:30 am		Gather gun
9:55 am		3rd race warning signal
12:30 pm		Lunch and awards
