A week-long resident sailing camp for children of club members ages twelve through eighteen. The camp focuses on sailing classes but also offers social activities. Parents of campers are required to volunteer at least one full day per camper or the equivalent of one full day.

Due to an increasing number of youth between the ages of twelve through eighteen who are children of club members, limitations must be made on acceptances into Junior Week with regards to grandchildren and extended family of club members for 2008.

Only grandchildren and extended family of club members who have been campers in the past are eligible for 2008. Exceptions will be considered for grandchildren of club members who have made significant contributions of their time and efforts in previous Junior Week Camps.

AYC Junior Sailing Registration

Eligibility : Applicants must be between the ages of 12 by end of 2008 and not yet 19 before January 1, 2009. Registration is open to children of club members as well as to campers who have attended in the past. Exceptions will be considered for grandchildren of club members who have made significant contributions of their time and efforts in previous Junior Week Camps.

Registration Deadline : Online registration information must be recieved before midnight March 30, 2008.

Availability : Space is limited to 50 junior sailors. In the event there are additional applicants above the 50, attempts will be made to accommodate these as much as possible.

Fees : Camp fee is $250 per junior. Makes checks payable to Atlanta Yacht Club.

Cancellations & Refunds : Cancellations received before midnight May 26, 2008 may be refunded minus a $25 processing fee. No refunds will be made for cancellations after May 26, 2008.

Volunteer Requirements of Parents : Parent or Sponsor of each camper must volunteer a minimum full day for each camper they have participating in the camp or equivalent (two half days, for example). Failure to volunteer will result in an $100 assessment per camper above the camp fee of $250.
