Motorboat Safety and Rescue Operations Training Session

The Motorboat Fleet is providing a one day Motorboat Safety and Rescue Operations Training Session on Saturday March 22nd from 9:00am to 5:00pm at the club.

The session is specifically directed to all operators of club owned boats (race committee and others) but is also applicable to anybody who doesn't know everything there is to know about operating a powerboat. (In other words - we can all learn something from this!)

Tentative Schedule:

0900 - 1200 (with Rich White, our US Sailing Powerboat Certified Instructor)

Lecture & presentations on safety equipment
Equipment for effective race management
Safe boat operation
Rescue operations
Effective communications
Proper docking

1200-1:00

Lunch - Courtesy of the Motor Boat Fleet

1:00 - 5:00

Hands on training on the water.
