Notice of Race

1. Rules:

1.1 The regatta will be governed by the 2005-2008 "The Racing Rules of Sailing", the Notice of Race (except as any of these are altered by the sailing instructions) and by the sailing instructions.

2. Eligibility and Entry:

2.1 This regatta is open to all boats of the Thistle, Y-Flyer, Snipe, Snipe Solo and Laser Classes. Thistle class entrants must be registered with and dues paid with the TCA.

2.2 Registration in advance can be completed on the website. Entry must be completed no later than Monday April 21, 2008. Entry forms received after this date will incur a late entry fee. Late registration may also be completed Saturday 26th between 0900 and 1100 at the check in desk.

4. Fees:

Regatta Entry (Before April 21) :		$30.00 (US Sailing Member) $35.00 (Non US Sailing Member)
Late Entry (After April 21) :		Add $5.00
Lunch Saturday :		$6.00
Dinner Saturday (Low Country Boil) :		$13.00
Dinner Saturday (Kids, smaller portion of Low Country Boil) :		$6.00
Lunch Sunday :		$6.00

5. Sailing Instructions and Courses:

The Sailing Instructions will be available at Late Registration / Check In. The courses will be described in the Sailing Instructions.

6. Scoring:

The Low Point Scoring System, Appendix A2, will be used except that each yacht's series score will be the total of all her scores. A minimum of one race will constitute a regatta.

7. Awards:

Awards will be given to the top three finishers in the Thistle, Y-Flyer and Snipe Classes. Two awards will be given to the top finishers in the Laser Class. A First Place Award will be given for the Intergalactic Single-Handed Snipe. Top Junior Awards will be given per class, as applicable.

8. Disclaimer of Liability:

Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See Rule 4, Decision to Race. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
