Coached Races
A new way to develop your sailing skill!
Every Saturday 11 – 12!!
Coached races are for everyone, from total beginners to those looking for a non-scored environment to practice with new crews. They are for club members with boats but who feel they need more practice before competing in fleet races.
This is a time for boat owners to let their crews, spouses, and kids skipper their boats in a coached, safe environment. Those in the sailing classes will participate if they feel ready.
All 420's and Opti's not being used by formal classes are available. No need to preregister. If all the club boats are taken, just show up at the point - someone will be looking for a crew!
The Race Committee will set out very simple, short races with Ollie supplemented by vocal instruction to explain all those bleeps. The Thistles, Y’s and Snipes will take turns providing the coaches / rescuers.
