This motto of the Snipe Class sums up the essence of Fleet 330 at AYC. Snipe Fleet 330 is a member fleet of SCIRA USA, the national organization of the Snipe Class International Racing Association (SCIRA), responsible for managing Snipe sailing in the
United States.
The Snipe is a 15-1/2 foot, 2 -person, one-design racing dinghy with a rich history dating back to 1931. It has evolved into a modern tactical racing dinghy with fleets all over the world.
Snipe Fleet 330 at AYC was formed back in the early 1950's. Today we average 40 members with Fleet racing each weekend during our racing season. We celebrate the end of our racing season with our nationally acclaimed Halloween Regatta.
We are a family oriented Fleet. Our Snipe family is happy to help fellow sailors with skills, rigging, tuning or whatever it takes to get up to speed.
