"Gone with the Wind" Regatta

Our own Atlanta Yacht Club is hosting the 15th Annual “ Gone with the Wind ”  regatta on April 09-10 2011. 

All AYC Members and families mark your calendar and plan to join in on the fun.   We all know that  we have a wonderful racing venue for these RC Yachts and it truly a treat for spectators, since the race course is set up close to shore so all can cheer on their favorites. 

The annual event draws the top EC12 sailors from around the country.  Currently there are over 20 boats registered with skippers from California, Illinois, Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas who are all looking forward to enjoying our yacht club, hospitality and lake. 

Come and cheer on our very own AYC members, John Muhlhausen, Rita Fullick, Mike Moore and Ian Elliott as they enter their very first EC12 Regatta.  Races begin at 9:30am each day and end about 4:00pm. 

Please plan to join in for Dinner Saturday night, catered by our own AYC member Susan Smith, (Dinner $15/person) and find out more about the EC12, discuss the days events, or just enjoy the sailing camaraderie.

Competition should be exciting – don’t miss the fun come and join in.
